Hello! This is Nicole’s blog!
The name of the site is a combination of two approximations of my name- Japanese Nikooru and Arabic Nikel-as I am taking those two languages. Anyway, here is my intro paragraph:
My name’s Nicole and I’m from Lotus, California, which despite sounding like a hippy commune is in fact a completely dull town which wouldn’t exist except for that it’s on the American river so there are a few rafting companies (i.e. two or three). I have no siblings and live(d) there from when I was a baby.
I shall now go into overshare mode and tell you some unimportant things about my life- I went to Sutter’s Mill school from kindergarten until third grade and Gold Trail school from fourth until eighth grade. Why this particular combination of you ask? I don’t know-they were a district(yes, just two schools) and Sutter’s Mill was nicer so they put the little kids there and Gold Trail was bigger so they put more grades there. That’s my guess. Thankfully I finally got to High School(!) and went to Ponderosa High, which despite being the local “hick” school was way more awesome than what I had previously. I did various activities including Jazz Band(trombone!), Marching Band(also trombone), Japanese classes (not taught at our school-thus I consider it an activity), and a short stint in Key Club. It interfered with Japanese though, so I quit.
Thus enters the next stage of my life-going to Japan. I spent a year Gujou Hachiman in Gifu Prefecture! Yay! Never heard of it? Well, they have a pretty over the top Bon-Odori celebration in the summer but that’s about it. If you ever go there DO NOT talk to anyone by the name of Sugishita. I won’t say why-this site is for school purposes and I don’t particularly want it to be torn down by the “do not besmirch the name of important people police.” They exist.
Ahem, so now I’m at IU and continuing to take Japanese and am starting Arabic as well. Ah well, I’ve got to get to my next class.

Yo hey Nicole! I read your blog, and that was awesome! Bet you didnt think that iwould ckeck it out ay!!! Surprised you then ay. Well i would just like to say dude that im so missing you heaps!!! Dude i have got to come to the Us sometime soon for sure
